HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO

Campbell Concrete & Materials (Lehigh Hanson) is seeking a qualified Transportation Supervisor for the Houston area and will be based at our Katy, TX Office..

The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for the scheduling, directing, execution and performance management related to movement of concrete delivery and cement transportation. This includes utilization of internal fleet as well as recruiting, coordinating and managing brokered trucks, and utilizing reporting to monitor daily performance.

Campbell Concrete & Materials operates 23 ready mixed concrete plants throughout the greater Houston area. With more than 200 mixer trucks and nearly 400 dedicated employees, Campbell has provided a quality ready mix product for over 50 years. Campbell Concrete & Materials can provide a wide range of ready mixed concrete products to meet the requirements for all commercial, industrial, paving, residential projects, and DIY projects.

  • Informs, educates, facilitates, and ensures that Company drivers carry out their duties in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Ensures that leased drivers fulfill all contracted obligations including Company and DOT regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to leased drivers, and the safe, timely delivery of materials from Company production facilities to the end use customer.
  • Daily communication with Sales, Dispatch and fleet maintenance on production schedule to ensure allocation of the appropriate number of trucks by production facility.
  • Recruitment, onboarding and training of Company and leased drivers ensuring all company policies have been met prior to hauling for the Company.
  • Participates and/or conducts meetings with internal and external customers with respect to issues that may arise in delivery of materials produced by the Company.
  • Manage fleet software and report on performance of Company and leased drivers.
  • Works in cooperation with all departments.
  • Additional Administrative Duties as Assigned
  • Reliable attendance is essential in performing this role.
HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Associates or bachelor's degree preferred or three (3) or four (4) years of experience supervising and scheduling drivers.
  • Previous related experience in trucking in an aggregate or concrete field is preferred.
  • Safely operate various types of equipment related to work requirements.
  • Strictly adhere to safety requirements, policies, and procedures as outlined in the employee policy manual.
  • Must be willing to travel to each jobsite using transportation.
  • Work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors/managers with other duties as required.
  • Available to work whenever necessary to accomplish Company goals.
  • Desire and commitment to working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills are required.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.
