Job Summary:
Provides systems programming services on complex projects and initiatives with limited oversight.
Job Description:


  • May write code using lower-level and/or higher-level languages
  • Develops and/or modifies systems for use internally
  • Conducts requirements gathering and analysis
  • May write code using lower-level and/or higher-level languages
  • Translates/compiles into machine language for use on specifichardware
  • Supports testing, deployment, and maintenance activities bycorrecting programming errors and coding software enhancements
  • Implements strategies to increase reliability and decrease cost
  • Maintains processes for internal operational effectiveness
  • Develops, implements and supports a variety of technologies
  • Maintains excellent working relationship with 3rd Party vendors
  • Maintains centralized reporting and management for applicationsand services
  • Implements strategies to increase reliability and decrease costfor technologies
  • Documents environments and check accuracy
  • Implements processes for internal operational effectiveness andcontinuous improvement
  • Ensures data confidentiality, integrity, and availability
  • Provides technical guidance to service partners as needed
  • Participates in 24x7x365 enterprise operational support asrequired
  • Provides support to remote data center facilities as requested
  • Implements processes for internal operational effectiveness andcontinuous improvement
  • Generates reports from information gathered from metrics
  • Assists with preparation of documentation, user guides, and trainingmaterials
  • Assists with communication of process changes, enhancements, andmodifications so solutions are understood
  • Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of enterprise server storageand networking hardware and technologies, Enterprise level IT processes andprocedures such Ticketing, Change Control, and other ITIL processes
  • May work with R&D of new designs and technologies,monitoring/improving systems performance and maintaining disaster recoveryreadiness and procedures
  • May work closely with the Operations teams to identify gaps andimplement solutions to drive improvements in reliability, performance andavailability
  • Maintain systems health to ensure reliability
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management


Qualifications

  • Requires comprehensive knowledge within own discipline and broadknowledge of disciplines within own function
  • Performs specialized assignments; leads others to solve complexproblems and develop non-traditional solutions
  • Works independently; may require guidance in highly complexsituations
  • Level 3 Application Support role
  • Work directly with end users to troubleshoot issues and outages
  • Make database updates and perform testing in lower environmentsas well
  • SQL knowledge is a must
  • C# is mainly what is used
  • Coding will most likely not be necessary but it is a plus
  • Good troubleshooting
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred
  • Typically requires 5-8 years of related work experience
