    Overview

    The Manager of Individual & Foundation Giving is a pivotal position for Fair Park, ensuring annual operational support of approximately $3 million annually through Major Gifts, Grants, and Special Events.

    Manager of Individual & Foundation Giving works closely with Spectra staff and serves as liaison to the Development Committee.

    Reporting to and working in close collaboration with the Executive Director, this individual will shape and execute a comprehensive development strategy for Fair Park First’s operational needs.

    Fair Park First (FPF) has entered into a Twenty Year agreement with the City of Dallas to serve as Private Manager for Fair Park, a National Historic Landmark, with multiple venues hosting a variety of sequential and simultaneous events.

    FPF has been engaged to create an active park that becomes a daily destination for more and more citizens of Dallas as well as patrons near and far. It is the intent through our engagement that daily visits will increase, more diverse activities and tenants will supplement the currently available mix of services and activities creating a more dynamic park elevating Fair Park as the crown jewel of the City of Dallas Parks System.

    Fair Park First has entered a sub-management agreement with Spectra to serve as the daily operator responsible for venue management, events management, food service and facility management along with other activities. Fair Park First is the Manager and Spectra is the Operator. Spectra is seeking a Manager of Individual & Foundation Giving for Fair Park First.

    Most important for this position is capability to drive innovative and tenacious growth in operational support for Fair Park First initiatives across the Fair Park campus.

    Responsibilities
    • Oversee the general development operations, including annual fund, grants, fundraising events, and major gifts
    • Shape and execute Fair Park First’s annual operational fundraising plan, under direction from the Executive Director and Development Committee
    • Solicit and secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations
    • Develop new and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors, with specific responsibility for soliciting grants, major gifts, and multi-year gifts
    • Ensure that the Annual Fund goals are met
    • Developing and tracking proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising
    • Support Fundraising Events to ensure event goals are met
    • Develop and drive the Fair Park’s membership efforts
    • Evaluate results of fundraising efforts and adjust strategies on an ongoing basis.
    • Supervise the creation and updating of fundraising materials, including standard proposals, reports and all appropriate donor communications
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications
    • Required: Bachelor’s degree
    • Fundraising success, including successful major gift solicitation
    • Excellent verbal and communication skills
    • Organized and detail-oriented
    • Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines
    • Professional appearance and positive attitude
    • Ability to handle confidential information
    • Ability to work without direct supervision
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and donor databases
    • 3-5 years in non-profit fundraising

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
    • Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, climb stairs, stand, and sit for extended periods of time
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings
    • Must have valid driver’s license
