Description:This position will serve as alicensed, clinical team member of the Expanded Mobile Crisis Outreach Team.This position will spend the first several months of their tenure with the teambuilding a process, in conjunction with the Practice Manager, for EMCOTpresence with Austin Police Department's (APD's) 911 Call Center. During thisstartup phase, this position will be stationed at the Combined Transportationand Emergency Communications Center (CTECC) with Austin Police DepartmentDispatch and will answer 911 calls that come in to the center that areidentified as mental health crisis calls, determining an appropriatedisposition for the person in crisis. This is an exciting and innovativeproject that will ensure quality of care to individuals experiencing a mentalhealth crisis. This position will also rotate working in the communityproviding crisis assessment and intervention services and working at CTECC.
Expanded MCOT works in partnershipwith Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services, Austin Police Department,and the Travis County Sheriff's Office. Office locations rotate between 5015 SIH 35; Austin State Hospital, various Emergency Medical Service stations and911 Call Center (CTECC). There is extensive latitude for the exercise ofindependent judgement.
Hours:8:00AM - 6:00PM, four 10 hourshifts Monday - Sunday (days negotiable)
Salary: $55,602-$63,616 annually, depending on licensed experience.
