Job Description
This is an exciting paid internship in the Human Resources department of our corporate headquarters office in Irving, Texas. Shermco is the largest independent electrical testing company in North America.

HR Intern will support and primarily work with the Total Rewards Manager, specifically around Compensation Benchmarking. Compensation work consists of updating job descriptions and/or creating new job descriptions, reviewing and confirming job descriptions with benchmark jobs, communicating with business leaders and ultimately building the Company's salary structure. The HR Intern will also provide support to the rest of the HR team as needed.

This is a great learning opportunity to get your foot in the door in to the world of Compensation as it relates to the Human Resources profession.

  • Highly proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook, and Internet search skills.
  • Strong organization skills; excellent time management skills.
  • Highly energetic and self-starter.
  • Able to multi-task the activities with shifting priorities.
  • Prefer Sophomore or Junior year college students.
