Job Description

Relationship Manager, Vice President
The Relationship Manager role will be responsible for new business development and portfolio management with Financial Institution clients, and secondarily responsible for new business development with Municipal clients and title/escrow/specialty deposit clients.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Development of new business: selling deposit and investment products, referring treasury management products, and referring lending and other bank opportunities primarily to Financial Institutions and secondarily to title/escrow/specialty deposit clients.
  • Growing/retaining and enhancing portfolio profitability.
  • Assist Group Manager in analyzing and structuring client relationships.
  • Communicate appropriate policies, guidelines, while considerinng quality and pricing.
  • Meet individual profit plan and quality goals, as well as help department meet financial goals.
  • Manage existing client portfolio.
  • Ability to work varied hours, including some weekends and evenings.
  • Assist with underwriting Comerica's counterparty exposures with all other domestic banks and broker/dealers.

Travel
25% of travel is required of this position.


Position Qualifications
Qualifications Required: Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and in addition to the basic qualifications listed below, specified by level:
Vice President, Relationship Manager III
  • 5 years of experience in marketing products and services to Financial Institutions or highly specialized deposit clients
  • 3 years of managing a portfolio of clients
  • 3 years of experience in financial sales
Vice President, Relationship Manager IV
  • 7 years of experience marketing products and services to Financial Institutions or highly specialized deposit clients
  • 5 years of managing a portfolio of clients
  • 3 years of experience in financial sales
