Company Overview

ConnectGen develops, builds and operates utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects across the United States.

As our existing power generation infrastructure ages, it is vital to tap into our country’s endless renewable resources and advance wind, solar and energy storage projects that provide long-term, cost effective, clean energy solutions.

Our Approach

Successful project development and execution requires substantial and widespread participation from a diverse group of entities and stakeholders.  ConnectGen strives to establish and maintain close relationships with landowners, communities, public officials, customers and suppliers and deeply values stakeholder input and involvement.  Our goal is to develop, build and operate projects that:

  1. Provide valuable energy and related services to our utility and corporate customers
  2. Benefit landowners through market-leading compensation?
  3. Bolster local communities through economic development and increased tax revenue?
  4. Preserve our environment by following industry best practices
  5. Use our knowledge of the electric grid, permitting, markets and financing to create best-in-class projects
  6. Create new local construction and operations jobs and support manufacturing jobs in the United States

Our Community Giving

We believe it is essential to be an active part of the communities where our people and projects are located. One way we show our commitment to communities is through supporting local nonprofit organizations. Each project we develop includes funding allocated to support local organizations, and we work with local community members to identify areas of need. We have supported dozens of organizations across the United States, ranging from public libraries to volunteer fire departments to public schools.

With more than 45 team members based at our headquarters in Houston, ConnectGen is proud to give back to our community. Each year we volunteer at the Houston Food Bank, America’s largest food bank in distribution leading hunger relief in 18 southeast Texas counties.
