SUMMARY
The Supervisor is responsible for managing the accounts receivable department and is ultimately responsible for the efficient management of cash receipts application of all payments in a timely fashion.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Oversee daily / month end closing processes related to cash receipts.
- Maintain accurate records and control reports.
- Monitor expenditures and implement corrective steps by identifying significant variances.
- Communicate and explain work procedures to subordinates.
- Define, develop and implement collections and accounts receivable policies and procedures.
- Make recommendations for improvements for daily cash application.
- Delegate, review, prepare or assist with internal and external audit schedules as assigned Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
