POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an Engineering Intern. The Engineering Intern will be assigned to one or more projects focused on improving productivity around in the machine shop. They will be implementing methodology and improvements while working with many people from several different teams. They will need to utilize Microsoft Office, especially excel, and will collaborate with and present to many members of the organization. While performing all duties and responsibilities, the Engineering-Intern will at all times, model Sonaca North Amierca values and principles and act in a manner consistent with the Sonaca North America Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Education/Experience:

  • Mechanical Engineering student, rising junior or senior is preferred


Specific Job Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel
  • Catia a plus
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail

    • Ability to identify and resolve problems

Physical Requirements: The employee must able to sit for extended periods of time with periodic breaks. Employee may frequently stand, stoop and/or walk as well as lift and /or move up to 40 pounds. The employee also must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and stress.

Work Environment: The employee will normally work in an office and shop environment. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to moderate. The employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the shop floor.
