Job Description

In this role under minimum supervision, you will aid in quality reviews, such as pre-ship, pedigree, and hardware acceptance reviews. Responsibilities will also include supporting troubleshooting of quality issues and corrective action boards, assist in the selection and execution of Root Cause Analysis (RCA ), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis(FMEA), Statistical process control (SPC), and Define, measure, analyze, improve, and control (DMAIC). Support the shift lead quality engineer in the review, identify, and document of nonconformances against hardware, material and processes. Monitor the development of continuous improvement activities, compliance surveillance assessments, manufacturing and assembly activities trends. Generate actionable metrics to drive sustainable improvement across test stands and launch operations. Support field sites with other quality engineers as required. Support life cycle reviews and test readiness reviews, flight readiness reviews, mission readiness reviews, and post flight data reviews. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of the test operations and launch of New Shepard. In this role you will report directly to Manager of Quality.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Quality experience of 2+ years and a M.S. degree in a related technical field or 5+ years of relevant experience and a B.S. degree in a related technical field.
  • Ability to support test and launch operations for second shift throughout the week
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Desired:

  • Mid level Quality assurance experience on test stands
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Quality Management System audit experience
  • Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities
  • Six Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certification

Compensation range for on site CO applicants is $78,375-$114,950

Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $85,500-$125,400

Compensation range for on site CA applicants is $85,500-$125,400
