As the Government Account Manager sales leader at Sprint you will:
* Develop and execute sales and marketing plans for the segment including State, Local, Education (SLED) and Federal (FED) account entities.
* Acquire new prospects in the government space by meeting with C-Level contacts and maintaining a network of colleagues and partners to share information and obtain prospects.
* Retain and grow a base of assigned accounts in the Government space, such as school districts, state agencies, local municipalities, Not-for-Profits, utilities companies and Federal Government.
* Represent Sprint's Government strategy and solutions in regional conferences, associations and speaking events as the Sales Leader for the area.
* Consult with Government clients in an assigned territory to add value by presenting Sprint Business Products and Solutions that drive revenue, reduces costs, enable growth, and increase connectivity to better serves their communities.
* Identify sales opportunities, build & manage a sales funnel, forecast, close deals, negotiate customer contracts and travel in person within your assigned territory.
* Partner with other channel partners within Government Sales team with approval and where appropriate to close business.

Driving is an essential function of the job. Applicants must have a valid driver's license (may not be learner's, restricted or "to and from work" license) and three consecutive years of active driving history immediately preceding the application that meets Sprint's driver standards. This information will be verified in a Motor Vehicle Report. Applicants must also successfully complete driver's safety training and otherwise comply with Sprint's Driver Safety Policy and guidelines. Many positions are eligible for a company car based upon mileage and territory. Sprint company cars are authorized for personal use.



Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree and eight years related work experience or 12 years related work experience post high school
* 6 years experience selling in a business-to-business environment
* 4 years experience of new customer acquisition experience



Preferred Qualifications
* 6 years of proven success in selling Federal, Public Sector or Enterprise Segment
* 6 years of communications industry experience
* 6 years of experience in sales funnel management and forecasting
* Sales experience in mobile solutions, cloud services, Internet of Things (IoT) and software technologies
