The Aspen Institute is an educational and policy studies organization based in Washington, DC. Its mission is to foster leadership based on enduring values and to provide a nonpartisan venue for dealing with critical issues. The Institute has campuses in Aspen, Colorado, and on the Wye River on Maryland's Eastern Shore. It also maintains offices in New York City and has an international network of partners.
The intern will be part of the Aspen Institute Citizenship and American Identity Program (CAI). This policy program focuses on the challenge of sustaining strong citizenship in America and coherent national identity in an age of demographic flux and severe inequality.
Basic Function:
The Citizenship and American Identity Program seeks a full-time or part-time intern. The intern will be a core team member, working under the direction of the associate director to provide communications, programmatic, and administrative support to team. This position is three months with possibility for continuation and/or growth.
Communications Responsibilities
Support the Citizenship and American Identity Program team in the communications and marketing efforts, including:
Assisting with developing high-quality email communications and maintaining contact database.
Programmatic Responsibilities
Support the Citizenship and American Identity Program team in the preparation and development of a initiatives and corresponding events. This includes assisting with:
