Job Description

The summer intern will work closely with design engineers in the layout and verification of RF and analog integrated circuits for wireless consumer electronic products.

Position requires remote interfacing with domestic and international design engineering and layout teams, in multiple design centers, across multiple time zones. The internship is based at our Cedar Rapids, IA design center.

Job Requirements

• Currently enrolled student pursuing an associates or bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (we will not consider MS or PhD students or any students graduating before December 2019)
• Block level layout and floorplanning required
• Ability to prepare layout data for release
• Possess basic understanding of CMOS and SOI semiconductor processes and how the physical layout can affect circuit performance of circuits like switches
• Proven ability to perform layout vs. schematic (LVS) and design rule checks using the Cailbre verification tool and read electrical schematics and netlists
• Proven experience and competent in using the following tools: Cadence and Calibre
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• A self-starter and team player with ability to learn on the job
