Responsibilities

  • Completes physician orders by retrieving orders and completing the necessary steps associated with processing to ensure quality patient outcomes
  • Assists with inventory control of pharmaceuticals and supplies by replenishing supplies, documenting items to be ordered, and rotating stock to maintain appropriate stock levels in the pharmacy
  • Maintains appropriate stock levels of approved pharmaceuticals and supplies in patient care areas by monitoring stock on hand to ensure effective administration of medication
  • Assumes leadership responsibilities as assigned by management to facilitate operational efficiencies
  • Assists in the maintenance of orderliness and cleanliness of the department.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Texas Registration through the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern.
  • Ability to calculate and compound medication orders
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Intravenous Admixture Certification Course through an approved ACPE provider
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Previous pharmacy experience
