Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking to hire a cybersecurity professional to join our team. The position is a hands-on role responsible for protecting Westwood's digital infrastructure, sensitive data, and information systems from cyber threats. This role involves implementing security measures, monitoring security protocols, and responding to incidents. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of information security frameworks, experience with various security technologies, and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to a non-technical audience.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Monitor Westwood's networks for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur.
* Install and use software, such as firewalls and data encryption programs, to protect sensitive information.
* Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
* Define and implement security standards, policies, and procedures that meet or exceed industry best practices.
* Facilitate internal and external security audits.
* Work with Legal to perform client contract reviews.
* Anticipate security alerts, incidents, and disasters and reduce their likelihood.
* Manage network, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
* Analyze security breaches to determine their root cause.
* Coordinate security plans with outside vendors.

Required Skills

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
* Professional information security certification, such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
* 3 - 5 years' work experience in an information security leadership role.
* Knowledge of various information security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001/27002, NIST, COBIT, etc.).
* Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
* Understanding of firewalls, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
* Ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to educate a non-technical audience about various security measures.
* Strong IT skills including knowledge of hardware, software, networks, and data centers.
