Mitratech is seeking a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude, a strong dedication to hard work, and the ability to drive continuous improvement within the revenue processes. The Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for the accounting and reporting of global revenue (order to cash). You will oversee the month-end revenue close, interface extensively with all aspects of the business and external auditors as needed. You will work cross-functionally with our Sales, Sales Ops, Legal, and Revenue Ops teams to ensure compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606/605.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage Global Revenue Streams:Oversee accounting systems and processes to ensure efficient management of global revenue streams.

  • Ensure Timely and Accurate Close Process:Support monthly accounting and billing operations to facilitate a timely and accurate close process.

  • Contract Setup and Review:Review contract setups in the accounting system to ensure proper billing and adherence to revenue recognition guidelines.

  • Revenue Reconciliation:Review revenue and deferred revenue schedules, conducting detailed reconciliations as part of the monthly close process.

  • Journal Entry Preparation:Prepare journal entries to support monthly close activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

  • Revenue Recognition Compliance:Review client contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition, including Point of Completion (POC), milestone, SaaS, and perpetual/term arrangements.

  • ASC 605 & 606 Compliance:Learn and understand software revenue recognition principles, ensuring compliance with ASC 605 & 606.

  • Reporting and Documentation:Create detailed revenue schedules for management and reporting purposes, providing valuable insights into revenue performance.

  • Process Improvement and Collaboration:Partner with internal teams and business partners to define, establish, and implement accounting processes and procedures. Collaborate across departments to develop automated solutions for revenue recognition.

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Exceptional Ability:Demonstrated evidence of exceptional ability in accounting and financial analysis.

  • Relevant Experience:3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting

  • US GAAP Knowledge:Fluent knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), specifically ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.

  • Fast-Paced Environment:Desire and ability to thrive in an extremely fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and quick problem-solving skills.

  • Self-Starter:Proven track record as a self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving, taking initiative to address challenges independently.

  • Project Management:Ability to effectively balance multiple projects with aggressive timelines.

  • Software Experience:Strong experience working within NetSuite is preferred. Experience with Salesforce or other comparable software systems is preferred.

Experience/Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting

We will disclose intended pay ranges in our job ads for US-based opportunities- This role can be performed 100% remote anywhere in the US. Anticipated Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000 Annually USD

Total compensation includes US employee benefits, and annual bonus eligibility.
