Position Description
A job involving an appointment for infrequent temporary work where the employee is called in as needed.
Major/Essential Functions
This is a PRN Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the TTUHSC SON Combest clinics in the Abilene area. Exciting opportunity to implement a comprehensive, evidence-based practice and to work with an interdisciplinary team for educational and research development in primary care.
- Provide primary care as a part of a healthcare team in an ambulatory setting.
- Provide patient education and counseling.
- Conduct patient health and physical assessments.
- May participate in teaching programs and serve as a preceptor for teaching programs for students as identified by the department and supervisor.
Required Qualifications
Education: Graduated from an approved accredited nursing program.
License/Certification: Current RN license in the State of Texas or have the ability to transfer your license to Texas. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate nursing specialty from an approved certification program as recognized by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners. Recognition by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners as an Advance Practitioner.
