The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $126,110 - $166,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Performs advanced electrical designs involving the use of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Servo's, Graphics Panels, and other industrial controls related to Material Handling equipment. Applies advanced skills to resolve complex controls engineering problems not covered by existing procedures. Identifies needed resources across engineering teams and with external suppliers and assign tasks across the project team. Monitors and manages project/team performance and ensures KPIs are met. Aligns with line managers about performance, skill set, and availability of project engineering resources. Tracks engineering progress and ensures project is pacing to schedule; align with ME/CE Leads and SAE as needed to report progress. Creates project status reports, financial forecast, and schedule updates. Supports the project manager in risk management and risk mitigation actions by documenting, escalating, and managing project risk; preparing PSR / PVRs. Leads technical reviews and conduct post-mortem with PM to feed continuous improvement. Advises top management and business partners on advanced technical matters.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field and 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, Controls Engineer, Solutions Engineer or closely related occupation. Also requires 3 years of experience with testing and commissioning electrical and software aspects of conveyor and sortation systems using NEC, NFPA and UL electrical codes; Auto CAD Electrical for schematic drawings; Allen Bradley PLC/HMI Software: RSLogix 5000; Factory Talk; Ethernet TCP/IP; Modbus; motor controls, tuning VFD's, performing FLA calculations for size motors and transformers, and technical writing for operational descriptions; testing E-Stop and safety relay circuits; troubleshooting electrical control systems related to power distribution and material handling equipment; using and calibrating photo-eyes, scanners, and barcode readers; performing compliance checks on other engineer's documents and schematic drawings; and planning, specification, and implementation of engineering design projects. Up to 50% travel is required to various unanticipated locations. Pre-employment processing for this position requires drug testing and passing background checks.
