The Position

As Client Development Specialist, you will help McAdams in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro retain and expand our client base. This client-facing role is dedicated to assessing sustainable growth opportunities, deploying client retention and development strategies, partnering with our technical teams to forge strong client relationships, and bolstering client experiences firm-wide. The duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Build long-term relationships with past, existing and future clients to generate quality project leads
  • Arrange business development and client experience meetings with existing and prospective clients
  • Lead business development meetings and partner with technical leads to create individualized client strategies based on financial metrics and strategic goals
  • Promote the company's brand and services addressing or predicting clients' objectives
  • Provide reporting for business development and client experience meetings to supervisor on planned and proposed activities
  • Attend professional organization events and committees, conferences and other industry/communities events to network with potential clients and to develop market intelligence to report back to firm leadership
  • Assist in developing business development budgets and strategic planning materials in conjunction with supervisor and business unit leaders to support strategic growth initiatives

Requirements and skills

  • BSc/BA in Business Management, Business Administration or Undergrad Degree
  • Proven workingexperience as a business developer in A/E/C industry
  • Proven business development record
  • Involvement in Client Experience surveys is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
  • Market and Industry knowledge
  • Communication and negotiationskills
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Time management and planning skills
