Nokia of America Corporation, Principal Consulting Engineer (Multiple Positions) Dallas, TX.

SALARY RANGE: $200,000 - $234,679 per year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)


Work closely with the sales teams to identify and pursue opportunities to drive IP business growth for Nokia. Develop the technical strategy for each opportunity, providing technical expertise and support to the sales team. Communicate the details of Nokia's IP product capabilities and solutions to influential customer decision makers. Prepare and deliver technical presentations and collateral to demonstrate the value of Nokia's products and services to customers and prospective customers. Work with Product Line Managers to drive product development through customer and industry-specific feedback based on current and future requirements. Support pre-sales and post-sales for Nokia's customers and partners. Support Nokia customers and partners with deploying solutions and products. Integrate Nokia solutions into customer IT/OSS/BSS applications by supporting the development of the integration in the Nokia lab and customer lab, developing and testing the appropriate solutions. Provide custom solution design and test plans to Nokia customers and partners during deployment of Nokia solutions and ensure effective implementation of the Nokia solution during the following phases: network design and review, lab testing and evaluation, proof of concept implementation, first office application deployment, full network deployment, and post-deployment consulting and support. #LI-DNI


JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a related field, and 10 years of related work experience, of which 5 years is post-Bachelor's, progressive related work experience. Employer will accept a 3- or 4-year Bachelor's degree.

Of the required experience, must have 8 years of experience with the following: Working as customer facing technical pre-sales engineer; Designing or operating IP networks for Webscale companies; IPv4 and IPv6 Routing technologies including IGP (OSPF and IS-IS) and BGP; Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN technologies including MPLS, Segment Routing (with MPLS and IPv6 data plane), VXLAN, Pseudowires, VPLS, EVPN, and IP VPNs; Traffic Engineering including SR-TE and PCE/PCEP architectures; Modern Data Center networking design and operations including CLOS networks, Underlay and Overlay technologies, and the networking integration to virtualization platforms (Kubernetes, OpenStack, and VMWare); and, YANG models (proprietary and standards), NETCONF, gNMI Telemetry and network automation frameworks.

Domestic travel is required up to 25%.

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Dallas, TX may be permitted, depending on business need.

Skills may be gained through experience or academic coursework. Qualifying education, coursework, and/or experience may have been gained concurrently.
