Job Description

Informa Markets is seeking a digital savvy, highly motivated marketing manager for WasteExpo and Waste360, with experience in designing complex integrated campaigns to generate awareness, increase attendance and engagement from key audiences and support the sales team in generating revenue. This individual needs to be analytical and data oriented, with a history of testing and optimization, but with creative flair and exceptional attention to detail. The candidate should have experience in marketing automation technologies and be accustomed to delivering in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

The day-to-day will vary from strategic planning to hands-on campaign delivery and reporting with the support of the team.

Role Accountability and Duties:

  • Own the marketing strategy and campaign plans for WasteExpo and Waste360 in line with business goals and objectives.
  • Be responsible for the event/media timelines to ensure correct planning, pacing, executing and reporting of all marketing campaigns, both online and offline
  • Manage and develop value propositions for key customer groups through an in-depth year-round customer insights plan.
  • Write creative, impactful, conversion-optimized marketing copy for a variety of purposes, platforms, and customer groups; work with cross functional teams (digital, events) to optimize marketing copy for conversion.
  • Ensure all marketing collateral, email marketing, website content, and digital marketing are thoroughly proofed and adheres to brand guidelines and agreed Informa standards.
  • Develop the marketing budgets for the products with a view to track spend and continually optimize across marketing channels.
  • Identify target media, association, industry partners and social media influencers to determine how they fit within the integrated campaign.
  • Build and manage relationships with external show partners and vendors to ensure successful participation and activation
  • Work with various stakeholders (including but not limited to) the Group Marketing Manager, Event Director, Sales Director, Conference Director, and Market Leader to coordinate campaigns, source information, provide regular updates and support teams to jointly deliver the event.
  • Provide onsite support during shows and events.
  • Provide support to the wider Waste team on additional/other initiatives and projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years in a Marketing Manager role with demonstrable experience forming and executing a strategy that focuses on the marketing funnel with attention on CRO.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels (web, PPC, social, SEO, email) to deliver an integrated, multi-channel marketing strategy.
  • Strong story telling skills to effectively communicate key benefits and value to the customer in a clear and concise manner.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to efficiently prioritize and execute deadline-driven projects to a high standard through strong project management skills.
  • Experience using marketing automation technology such as Oracle Eloqua
  • Experience managing social media through platforms such as Hootsuite, and experience with social media listening and sentiment analysis.
  • Experience with marketing analytics and reporting platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe)
  • Experience in budget management
  • Experience in team management and development
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including intermediate to advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
  • Team player and highly collaborative, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in B2B environments is preferred (events and media background preferred)
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent networking skills
