Job Description

Title: Controller & Sr Director, Financial Reporting
Location: Mansfield, Texas

Responsibilities include directing the company's Accounting and Financial Reporting functions domestically and internationally, including payroll. The Senior Director Controller Financial Reporting will be responsible for maintaining an effective system of controls over Financial Reporting, and oversee the systematic and regular review of the company's financial records and statements. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to also supporting acquisition efforts.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Directs internal and external financial reporting to ensure accurate and reliable reporting of the company's financial condition and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, local regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures.
* Conducts regular reviews of the Balance Sheet and individual accounts, and ensures proper valuation of the company's assets and liabilities.
* Oversee regulatory reporting.
* Manages the direction of preparation and analysis of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise financial results in terms of profitability, performance against budgets/forecasts, and other matters affecting the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the company.
* Establishes and monitors financial policies and control standards, and drives continuous improvement efforts, to ensure seamless and accurate flow of data to enhance productivity and reduce internal costs.
* Directs and manages financial analysis projects designed to streamline and improve Mouser's global systems and processes.
* Properly analyzes, documents, and interprets financial reporting.
* Support Finance team with financial reporting and projections.
* Develops and maintains a productive work teams by hiring qualified personnel, training, and managing performance.
* Manages teams with integrity, ethical business practices, and in accordance with Mouser policies, procedures, and practices.
* Customarily and regularly directs the work of two or more full-time employees or their equivalent. Makes suggestions and recommendation for these employees regarding performance, including hiring, transfer, advancement, and termination.
* Manages daily operations to meet department and company objectives.
* Works with minimum supervision and makes independent judgments.
* Flexible to meet the changing needs of the business and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments.
* Initiates, establishes and maintains highly effective relationships with internal and external business contacts of various cultures, and at all levels.
* Extremely confidential and trustworthy.
* Demonstrates knowledge, experience and understanding of critical job function of the team and people management.
* Assists management with development of results oriented strategies.
* Regular attendance at work is an essential part of the job.


SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS


* CPA Certification is required.
* Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other technical accounting materials.
* Ability to research GAAP and International accounting issues.
* Ability to critically analyze financial statement processes and data to detect errors and to improve financial controls.
* Business, managerial, leadership, and strategic thinking skills for planning and managing department, staff, budgets, projects, etc.
* Organizational skills for organizing programs, people, projects, etc.
* Strong oral and written communications skills for communicating, building relationships, with extensive internal and external contacts.
* Teamwork/collaboration skills to encourage cooperation throughout the Mouser organization and with suppliers.
* Working proficiency of the personal computer and computer tools including Microsoft Office applications at the advanced level including Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, Databases and General Ledger software.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor's Degree is typically expected.
* Internal candidates: Minimum of 6 years total management experience, including a minimum 2 years as an exceptional performing Mouser director.
* External candidates: Minimum 7 years of total management experience, including 3 years experience as a director or higher-level management position. Exceptional references required.
* Experience in accounting, finance, payroll, and general management required
* Experience working in a multi-national/multi-currency environment
