Job DescriptionThis person is responsible for the growth of our outreach efforts targeting special population students in the Waco area . This position requires the development, accountability, and execution of a strategy to create a pipeline of unhoused students and students who have been foster care youth to enroll in TSTC . Maintaining, cultivating, and pursuing opportunities for exposure to TSTC and our mission of placing more Texans in high paying jobs into the Waco area is critical to the success of our marketing efforts. Daily travel is sometimes required, with occasional overnight travel possible

  • Essential Functions

    • Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.

    • Employee will utilize internal reporting applications to measure performance, and hit targeted enrollment goals. Knowledge of all admissions requirements and educational opportunities is required. Develop statistical reports of all activities for leadership both as needed and on a monthly basis. Help drive the recruitment strategy for the Waco area and connect students to the Advocacy & Resource Center by analyzing trends and identifying new opportunities by using data gathered during recruitment efforts. Full knowledge of Salesforce/TargetX, Tableau Server, Cisco WebEx, and Colleague systems.

    • Employee will recruit unhoused/foster students from The Cove, Methodist Children's Home, and area school districts.

    • Work collectively with the Advocacy and Resource Center staff and office of Student Recruitment to share resources, maintain branding, and partner together to enhance our current recruitment strategies. Through outreach efforts and community involvement this person will grow our walk in traffic, event participants, group tours, offer our facilities to youth groups, and other outreach organizations to grow enrollment.

    • Work on special projects as assigned and identify new areas or opportunities to recruit special population students.

    • Work closely and collaborate with all departments within TSTC. Develop individualized recruitment strategy for the GHCBD for targeted growth programs in Fort Bend.

    • Other duties as assigned.

  • Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills

    • Bachelor's degree preferred.

    • Demonstrated ability to develop strong community working relationships.

    • 3 - 4 years project development

    • Knowledge of student recruitment, admissions, student programs and campus visit trends.

    • Ability to develop, implement and evaluate the delivery of outreach services to students.

    • Knowledge of public information, public speaking, community relations, and marketing principles and practices.

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the analytical skills necessary for report writing, development of recruitment and materials, and to conduct presentations.

    • Possession of organizational skills to establish priorities, delegate workload, and manage multiple activities to meet departmental goals and deadlines.

    • Ability to build cooperative working relationships with the College Community, high school counselors and administrators, students, parents, and the public.

    • Event planning and management experience.

    • Experience in planning and coordinating grant or state funded student programs.

    • Computer fluency, including administrative software, reporting tools and communication software.
