Job Overview

Komatsu is sourcing for a Senior Staff Accountant for our Accounting Department in Longview, Texas. Komatsu offers competitive pay, excellent benefits and bonus and merit potential.

Key Job Responsibilities

1. Perform month-end journal entries for closing

2. Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP

3. Prepare, investigate, and report the status of GRIR and A/P related accounts

4. Provide support to internal and external auditors as well as perform internal audit tasks

5. Assist with fixed asset management and reporting

6. Assist with annual budget plan and related outlooks/forecasts as directed

7. Assist with the administration of property and use tax

8. Prepare financial analysis and ad-hoc reports as needed

9. Run monthly payroll and payroll accruals, including holiday/vacation, salary, benefits, and hourly accruals

Qualifications/Requirements

This position requires an undergraduate degree in accounting or finance. Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is desirable as well as an MBA or MAcc

2+ years experience in manufacturing accounting processes and operations.

Ability to read, understand, and analyze production order blueprints is a plus.

Experience working with SAP production management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong critical thinking and intuitive problem-solving skills with an attention to detail required. Healthy professional skepticism, flexibility, and inquisitiveness. Continuous improvement mindset
