Reimagine What's Possible

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible and accountable for all aspects of LaPorte's Warehouse daily operations, including directly leading a team of 3 storeroom personnel. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with Allentown and field locations. This position is an integral part of the Materials Management Americas team.

Key Responsibilities include Management of Safety, Personnel, and the Facility:

Safety Management:

  • Responsible for developing and driving the Safety Culture through the Basic Safety Practices which includes but not limited to: Leading Daily shift starters, Routine Safety Meetings, Event Management entries for safety related incidents and near miss tracking

Personnel Management:

  • Team Coverage, Performance Reviews, Goal Setting, Hiring, Coaching, Development, Training, Time approval
  • Develop and Maintain Facility Procedures and Work Process Documentation

Facility Management:

  • Warehouse Supplies (Pallets, Packaging materials, Dumpster, Propane), Visitor Access, Cleaning, PPE, Housekeeping, Preventative Maintenance Task Compliance for equipment i.e. (Forklifts, packaging equipment, etc.)
  • Warehouse Contracts: Cleaning services, equipment rentals, Security
  • Security Access
  • Compliance Management (OSHA, Security, Environmental)
  • Establish and Track performance for key metrics linked to facility overall activity and performance (KPIs) which includes: Inventory Management and Accuracy
  • Warehouse Layout Design
  • Expense Reporting and Approvals
  • Drive accountability across site personnel on proper inventory management procedures
  • Manage OSHA and DOT related requirements

    Candidates will be evaluated based on:

    • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to employee involvement, team building and diversity
    • Track record of success on safety, environmental, and quality
    • Experienced in warehouse operations and inventory analysis
    • Proven communication skills
    • Demonstrated computer skills including but not limited to: MS Outlook, Excel and Word
    • Track record in change management and continuous improvement
    • ERP system capabilities (AP utilizes SAP)
    • Willingness to travel

    Candidate Requirements:

    • Must have an understanding of warehouse and inventory management
    • SAP experience is highly preferred
    • Minimum 5-10 years warehouse experience in multiple functions (Shipping, Stockroom, Receiving, and Inventory) required
    • High School Diploma Required
    • B.S. in Supply Chain/Warehouse Management Preferred
