Job Description:

Manages the local exhibition security training program and provides security recommendations to the Director of Safety and Security. Leads the Security Department in the Director of Safety and Security absence and supervises security personnel. Promotes good working relations through courteous, helpful, and professional contact with employees, guests, and vendors/contractors.

How you will do it...

  • Coordinate and support security activities to safeguard Company assets, employees, guests, and visitors.

  • Respond to incidents to include, but not limited to medical, Company Code of Conduct violation by guest, and alcohol/drug in nature.

  • Maintain a daily positive interaction with guests and employees.

  • Mentor, develop, and supervise security personnel; recommend awards and take disciplinary action as necessary.

  • Ensure reports by security personnel are completed accurately and timely.

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage security staffing.

  • Ensure adherence to pre approved budget.

  • Evaluate security procedures and policies; make recommendations for improvements and risk reduction.

  • Manage and conduct initial and refresher training for security officers and non-security employees.

To be successful in this role...

  • Proficient in English; verbal and writing.

  • Have full and open availability to work any shift to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.

  • Customer service driven with outstanding communication and active listening skills.

  • Solution oriented and not stopped by "paper walls".

  • Be available to work any day of the week to include special events.

  • 3-5 years of security experience in the attraction, entertainment, theme park, hospitality, or similar industries.

It would be nice to have...

  • Bi-lingual.

  • First Aid, CPR, AED certified.

  • Security Officer Level II License.

  • TABC License - Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission Active.

  • Full-time position.

  • Comply with company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols.

  • Position, move, and/or lift objects up to 50 pounds.

  • Remain stationary for prolonged periods.

  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

  • Moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments to include tight spaces.
