Job Overview

Mitratech's - Continuity solution is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Associate to join the Regulatory Operations Center (ROC) Team. This role serves in providing world class regulatory content to clients and collaborating with other team members in a supporting role that will use your research, writing, communication and project management skillsets.

What you'll do

  • Monitor regulatory sources to identify and log relevant Federal regulatory issuances (i.e. enforcement actions, bulletins, FAQs).
  • Identify and distribute relevant State regulatory issuances to clients.
  • Review, analyze and distribute Federal regulatory Alerts.
  • Research, develop, and communicate responses to client regulatory compliance questions.
  • Develop a client newsletter outlining regulatory content activities.
  • Assist other ROC Team members with departmental tasks, projects and priorities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline required (Accounting, Business, Risk Management or other related degree preferred), or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 3-5 years of work experience in U.S. banking compliance.
  • Understanding of US Banking regulations, such as Truth-in-Lending & Real Estate Settlement Procedures Integrated Disclosures (TRID), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA), etc.
  • Strong ability to research, analyze and interpret regulatory requirements.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively develop written analysis of regulatory content, answer regulatory questions, and participate in internal & client communications.
  • Ability to identify relevant Federal and State regulatory issuances, including Federal enforcement actions
  • Compliance-related professional certification preferred (ex. Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer (CCBCO), Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP), Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB))
  • General competency with technological applications, such as Microsoft Office, Google Drive, messaging channels, video conferencing, etc.
  • Strong time management, organizational, project management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and ensure client satisfaction
