Director of Public Works - Dallas/Fort Worth, TX
Half is seeking a highly skilled Director of Public Works to join our Public Works team in DFW. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of experience in utility and public works design and knowledge of Public Works projects in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. This position will entail the design and management of civil engineering projects and related pursuits. Director of Public Works Responsibilities:
  • Develop project scopes, professional services fee development, and staff projections
  • Produce winning project proposals as lead professional/project manager
  • Train and mentor staff
  • Manage project administration and supervision
  • Work in a team environment with multiple offices and various disciplines
Director of Public Works Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Texas, or transferable within 2 months
  • At least 12 years of experience in utility and public works design
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Strong ability to train and mentor staff
  • Must be proficient in project management, administration, and supervision
  • Ability to work in a team environment with multiple offices and various disciplines
  • Positive attitude, self-directed
