Job Title: PCB Assembler


Job Purpose

This position performs any combination of the following assembly of electronic components on to printed circuit boards (PCB) according to specifications, using hand tools. This is a fully on-site position in Houston, Texas.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities

  • Performs wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies and sub-assemblies.
  • Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units
  • Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications
  • Installs heat sinks, sockets, and faceplates, and accessories on boards using hand tools.
  • Reads and interprets schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, or work orders to determine materials assembly instructions.
  • Assembles electrical systems or support structures, subassemblies using rivets, soldering or micro welding equipment.
  • Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wires or solder to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Marks and tags components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified.
  • Measures and adjusts voltages to specified values to determine operational accuracy of instruments.
  • Solders Hi-Temp SN96, SN63,SN93 and HMP


Education and Experience

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must have a 2+ years of experience in PCB soldering
  • Must have experience in utilizing soldering gun/station, adjusting equipment controls to regulate process factors such as temperatures, pressures, and speeds according to specifications.
  • Must be able to see details at close range
  • The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
  • The ability to keep your hand steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one place.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of Hi-temp soldering processes and procedures HMP-PB85
