Job Description

Management and Engineering Technologies International, Inc., is a federal contractor focusing on the fields of engineering, IT, and natural resources management. We have a need for an HR Generalist who will focus on recruiting support and employee data management for METI.

Duties:

  • Provides employee information by answering communications; referring special communications to the appropriate person.
  • Provides recruiting support for the company
  • Create or revise job descriptions as needed
  • Upload job postings to specified sites, social media
  • Review resumes, process background checks, conduct assessment and initial interviews, and notify rejected applicants
  • CIRCA website maintenance and candidate disposition
  • Maintains human resources records by maintaining applications, résumés, and applicant logs.
  • Candidate advocacy – work with candidates from initial review to submission to hiring manager
  • Work with Corporate HR staff on open positions, daily review white space and urgent posting needs
  • Verifies candidates' background by contacting references.
  • Distributes new employee hiring forms; verifying completion.
  • Helps employees by explaining benefit programs.
  • Employee file creation and management
  • Data entry and document maintenance
  • Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
  • Maintains manager and employee confidence by keeping human resources information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical
  • publications.
  • Create and or maintain candidate databases as needed for future needs
  • Other duties assigned in support of the overall operation

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of related Recruiting/Human Resource experience
  • Minimum education: Associates degree in related HR field
  • Positive attitude; enjoy working closely with others
  • Great research skills: ability to use and research multiple databases
  • Reporting and administrative writing skills
