| Job Description: Associate Account Executive Reports to: Sales Manager Objectives: This entry level inside sales position will make daily sales calls, provide lead generation research, provide administrative and sales support to all members of the sales team while increasing own sales knowledge and skills. Long term goal will be to move into Account Executive position. Responsibilities: Daily sales calls Prospect daily using, but not limited to, existing database, trade publications, phone, internet, subscription services, newsletters, and competitive industry show data to qualify new sales leads. Input detailed contact information into SLX database, while keeping ongoing and accurate records of calls made and data uncovered. Maintain weekly lead generation reports on the progress of space and sponsorship sales. Assist with sales calls as needed during higher volume sales periods as directed by Sales Manager. Assist with incoming calls by answering basic questions, asking qualifying questions and transferring prospective exhibitors to appropriate team members as necessary. Implementation of new sales initiatives to support all members of sales team. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: College degree, preferred. One year sales experience; experience in sales support role beneficial. Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively multi-task. High level of proficiency in the use of standard computer software including Word and Excel. Knowledge of sales database management a plus. Project oriented with superior attention to detail and outstanding organizational and prioritization skills. Excellent written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
