RN or LVN Licensure in the state of TX preferred Phase I experience preferred Proven Leadership and Supervisory experience Clinical Research Background Required In the development of pharmaceuticals, the initial human trials (first-in-human trials) provide a preliminary evaluation of drug safety, tolerance and pharmacokinetics. As the drug candidate progresses through clinical development, clinical pharmacology studies such as drug-drug interaction, food effect and special population studies, will be conducted. With state-of-the-art Clinical Research Units, Covance has helped hundreds of drug development companies progress their compounds from preclinical to proof-of-concept studies. Each Clinical Research Unit has a dedicated team of professionals, including physicians, scientists, project managers, nurses and recruiters - whose mission it is to bring the miracles of medicine to market sooner. | |
| Required: Bachelor of Science (BS) in medical or science or related field. Experience may be substituted for education. Six Sigma training preferred. Experience and exposure to Phase I clinical research preferred. | |
| 3 to 5 years of progressive and proven leadership responsibilities in a related business environment. At least two years of indirect supervisory or influential leadership experience required, direct supervisory experience preferred. Must be creative and resilient in application of processes and approach to work, and comfortable dealing in a complex environment. Successful track record in meeting commitments and driving change, using a highly collaborative approach, and emphasizing team wins versus individual achievement. |
