Ecolab Food Safety Specialties is the world’s leading distributor of food safety solutions. Food Safety Specialties offers a wide array of food safety products and services including its original day-of-the week food safety labels, specialized training courses and numerous tools and systems.




The Assistant Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and leading marketing strategies contributing to the sales growth of a Fortune 500 company. This position supports multiple, strategic programs differentiating Ecolab from its competitors and contributes to the profitable sales growth of the Food Safety division.




Main Responsibilities:




  • Works closely with the Senior Marketing Manager and the Corporate Accounts and Field Sales teams to create marketing programs to drive sales with new and prospective customers
  • Project management responsibility for program development, implementation and execution
  • Develops and maintains marketing collateral with specific market requirements for new program and product launches
  • Conducts and analyzes customer research, current market conditions and competitor information to build successful marketing programs
  • Work closely with the other marketing functions Creative, Product Team, and E-Commerce to deliver annual business and marketing objectives

Basic Qualifications:




  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business



  • 5-6 years of professional/marketing experience


  • 2-3 years of project management experience within large, complex organizations

Preferred Qualifications:




  • MBA


  • Experience in the development of marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives.
  • Must be results oriented; proactive and have a high level of integrity.
  • Strong PC and systems skills required, proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office products.
  • Innovative - displays original thinking and creativity. Develops unique approaches and presents compelling ideas and plans.
  • Strong analytical skills - gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Ability to effectively synthesize complex or diverse information.
  • Strong project management skills - ability to lead cross-functional teams and meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong in proofreading, visual/spatial skills, and experience working in graphics layout and graphics layout applications.
  • Excellent business acumen understands business implications of decisions and displays orientation toward maximizing profitability.
