E-LEARNING INSTRUCTIONAL DEVELOPER
The United States Bowling Congress provides programs and services to several million members as well as various industry trade organizations. USBC also conducts major tournaments, programs and events including collegiate, high school, coaching and much more. USBC is made up of many teams, including Communications, Education, Event Planning, Finance, Information Systems, Marketing, Purchasing, Warehouse, etc. Not all positions require bowling knowledge or experience.
Are you an experienced instructional designer looking for a new challenge working in a progressive and growing environment? The United States Bowling Congress has an opportunity for you to create and maintain documentation and e-systems related to process, procedure and training for the national governing body of the sport of bowling. USBC is the management organization that supports the popular sport of bowling and its membership. As bowling increases in popularity, we seek enthusiastic candidates to join our team at the national headquarters for the organized sport of bowling, located in Arlington, Texas. We currently have an opportunity for an E-Learning Instructional Designer to join our Applications Development Team.
The E-Learning Instructional Designer will work with management and the coaching team to determine curriculum needs, establish priorities, and to roll out and maintain training courses. The instructional designer must:
Apply instructional design principles during the creation and management of all e-learning training systems.
Analyze processes and provide feedback during the design process; recognizing where web-bases courses can and should be implemented.
Create and maintain interactive courses to address the learning needs.
Create and maintain user guides and other training aides.
Prepare and design course materials, including manipulating audit and video.
Effectively work with cross-functional teams in the design and development of training materials.
Establish and build relationships with subject matter experts in order to understand and include all necessary and current information in classroom and web-based courses.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
Experience in developing and supporting web-based training systems
Technical writing experience
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
