Position Overview: CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Energy Division with our Lubricants group. We are looking for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor for our Lubricants Production Plant located in Amarillo, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the 2nd shift staff and resources of the manufacturing plant ensuring that the staff and resources are deployed in the most efficient manner. The incumbent must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Responsibilities:
• Daily supervision of plant blending, shipping, receiving and warehousing activities.
• Production product planning and scheduling, schedule manpower and equipment needed necessary to efficiently operate the 2nd shift.
• Manage finished product inventories, utilization of warehouse space and maintain good employee relationships.
• Quality control testing on raw materials, finished products and actively participate in all plant quality assurance activities.
• Maintain safe and clean environment.
• Maintain and meet EMS, HMS and SMS requirements.
• Maintain good communication and customer relations both internally and externally.
• Participate in planning, budgeting and completing capital budgets on time and on budget.
• Participates in projects assigned to analyze parts or all of plant functions to maintain plant competitiveness and costs.

Basic Qualifications: (required)
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience of 3-5 years in business or related field.
• 2 years previous supervisory experience – preferably in manufacturing.
• Previous experience working with raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques maximizing effective production and distribution of goods.
• Good working knowledge of EEOC, OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Responsible for training in all new employees on 2nd shift.
Preferred qualifications: (desired)
• Previous experience working in JD Edwards and inventory control systems.
