We are currently seeking a talented Senior Communications Partner for our San Antonio, TX facility.


As a Senior Communications Partner for USAA you will lead communications planning and implementation of communications programs for designated CoSA (s) or enterprise initiatives. You will manage relationships with the Company President and/or other senior leaders; Ensures that communications plans, strategies, and/or tactics support business and enterprise goals and priorities.


JOB DUTIES


  • Serves as Corporate Communications partner for company President, Executive Council member, and/or other senior leaders. Manages relationships, provides communication counsel (advice and guidance) and ensures service objectives are met.
  • Develops, and organizes communication plans and strategies for designated CoSAs. Identifies communications opportunities/strategies to address business needs, develops key messages, defines the targeted audiences impacted, and relates the scope/impact of the communications effort to other business or enterprise efforts.
  • Oversees the work of communication partners and/or provides them with guidelines to ensure quality communications are delivered according to plan and are consistent with business goals and priorities. Ensures that unplanned communications are in line with the clients' communications strategies.
  • Develops leadership communications materials for company President, Executive Council member, and/or other senior leaders to ensure their key messages are effectively communicated to target audiences.
  • Critically reviews existing processes, procedures, and workflow from the member's/internal customer's perspective and works to implement change when justified.
  • Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge of assigned CoSAs. Builds and maintains relationships with senior level CoSA clients.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or communications or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years in related field.
  • Proven team management experience.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.


Preferred:


  • Working experience of financial concepts and products: financial planning, life insurance, retirement, investments
  • Client relationship management & consulting experience.
  • Executive/leadership consulting experience.
  • FINRA licensing.
