Positions in this function are responsible for providing oversight and direction of the Utilization Management Program and performing peer reviews as necessary. Includes MDs (in psychiatry - PsyD) and other clinical professionals who consult on various processes and programs. Includes roles which manage development and implementation of medical expense initiatives. Advises leadership on improvement opportunities regarding medical expense programs and clinical activities that impact medical expense. - Reviews the work of others.- Develops innovative approaches.- Sought out as expert.- Serves as a leader/ mentor.

Qualifications
  • PhD or PsyD in Psychology
  • 3+ years clinical experience
  • Must posses current and unrestricted license in the state of Texas
  • Live within a commutable distance of the Houston, TX area.
  • Experience with intensive early behavioral therapy services including applied behavioral analysis ( functional behavioral assessments & treatment planning)
  • The candidate needs to have ability to work flexibly and creatively with other professional team members.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required and demonstrated ability to engage effectively with callers.
  • Strong customer service orientation and PC Proficiency required.
Additional Preferences include:
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with peer groups
  • Strongly prefer experience in case management
  • Experience working in or coordinating services for and between medical PT, OT, ST, repeat comprehensive evaluations, developmental pediatrics, behavioral, EAP or work-life is preferred
  • Work experience within an EAP/managed care environment preferred.
