Responsibilities:
Working in our fast-paced, results-driven call center in Plano, TX, you’ll resolve delinquency issues and handle related recovery, collections and loss mitigation activities including, but not limited to:
  • Generating calls to delinquent borrowers who are considered high-risk or with associated third parties; resolving calls at the first point of contact when responding to incoming phone calls regarding customer service
  • Interacting with our customers to accurately resolve payment issues on a timely basis, such as delinquent government and conventional mortgage loans
  • Resolving complex inquiries, account updates, customer complaints, document generation, research request generation, follow-up and escalation of issues as necessary
  • Providing data on status, transaction or account activity
  • Researching disputed items and other inquiries
  • Settling delinquencies and negotiating an equitable payment arrangement
  • Evaluating and selecting appropriate workout remedies for conforming loans and refer non-conforming loans to Loss Mitigation
  • Responding to customer inquiries when loans are in Ch. VII Bankruptcy or foreclosure; to escalated issues when necessary

    The successful associate will meet or exceed mandatory performance targets, including the quality, competency and effectiveness of loss resolution. In addition, each employee will be accountable for complying with all laws and regulations while performing their job duties, requiring familiarity with the legal and regulatory requirements of that work. If hired, you’ll attend training on pertinent compliance, laws and regulations as required.

    Basic Qualifications:
    To qualify as a Mortgage Loss Mitigation Specialist, candidates are required to have:
    • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
    • At least 6 months of mortgage experience in collections, foreclosure or loss mitigation

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • 3 years of experience in mortgage collections, foreclosure, loss mitigation, originations or loan servicing.
    • 2 years of experience collections, skip tracing or loss mitigation in a corporate call center environment on any financial services product
    • 1 year of experience in fast paced mortgage call center environment in any outbound/inbound role (examples include: customer service, originations, sales support, etc.)
    • College degree or some college coursework

    Salary:
    Annual Base: Mid $30Ks+
