Job Duties and Responsibilities

ManTech Technical Services Group established itself as an industry leader in worldwide technology support providing support to the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Air Force as well as other key Department of Defense customers and we would like to consider YOU as part of our team.



Heavy Equipment Operator will operate all Wheeled, Tracked, Generator and Material Handling Equipment. The HEO is designated as the Lead Operator for equipment operated at each installation. Operator must be have experience operating the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT), Heavy Equipment Transporter (HET), Palletized Loading System (PLS), M113 Armored Personnel Carrier, M88 Track Recovery Vehicle, M1 Abrams, D8K Bulldozer, Generators Sets, TQG/PU 5 to 100K, Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV), Medium Tactical Vehicle (MTV), High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) 5k to 30K . The HEO will dispatch equipment to and from Direct Support Maintenance Facilities, exercise equipment enrolled in low usage program, operate equipment in support of warehouse operations, supply operations dealing with equipment transfers, retrograded supplies and equipment, relocation of vehicles to and from motor pool sites. Oversees and checks proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers. Secures cargo against inclement weather, pilferage, and damage. Operates vehicle component material handling equipment (MHE), as required. Report all vehicle deficiencies to supporting maintenance facilities.



Qualifications
Selected candidate must have a CDL "A" license and be a U.S. Citizen. Ideal candidate will be a former 88M with 5 years of driving experience in the grade of E-5 to E-6 capable of operating all equipment over varied roadways in support of Left Behind Equipment operations.

Additional Qualifications Most positions require candidate to have a current favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). Some positions will require completion of a polygraph examination.
