Position Description

Senior Manager of IT Business Management Office
Location: Plano TX
Level: Senior Manager

This business critical role reports directly to the CIO of Capital One’s mortgage division and will drive the development of the IT department’s strategy.

Responsibilities:

Drive development of department's strategy by working closely with the LOB CIO
Lead IT process management, improvement and governance efforts
Ensure the department sets and manages objectives aligned with COF objectives
Develop programs and processes supporting department strategies
Modify existing process and create processes to enhance business activity or save time
Educate and gain buy-in concerning the utilization of process to ensure appropriate execution
Provide consultation with leadership team on organizational design, processes, and strategic planning
Produce process metric reports and presentations for senior management to enable effective business decisions based on information derived from consistent processes
Monitor data trends and install necessary benchmarks or thresholds to ensure data integrity.Maintain metrics to measure effectiveness of processes. Generate reports and presentations
Understand how to extract the best information from data associated with a process
Interact with and influences senior leaders.
Drive appropriate forums required for a well managed IT function.
May include ensuring consistent management of the department by leading the planning, scheduling, and reporting processes for the department

Basic Qualifications:
• At least a Bachelors Degree
• At least a total of 3 years experience in process management
• At least 2 years of IT process management experience
• At least 2 Years experience in people management

Preferred Qualifications:
• Masters Degree in Business Management, Process Management, Project Management, Risk Management, Communications, Computer Science or Information Systems
• 5 Years experience in process management, preferably in the mortgage industry
• 5 Years experience in IT process management
• 5 Years experience in people management
• Certification in Process Management (i.e. LEAN, Six Sigma), Compliance (i.e. CRCM, CIPP, etc.) or Business Process Management
