We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Corporate Development Director in our Dallas office.

The American Heart Association is seeking a Senior Corporate Development Director for the Dallas area corporate market to manage and grow fundraising activities for the Côtes du Coeur wine auction/gala event (visit http://www.dallaswineauction.com/ to learn more about this event).

This position is responsible for managing a Corporate Development Director and a Development Specialist who also work on this event.

In this role you will engage with individuals, corporations, and wineries to secure sponsorships, wine donations, and live auction packages while also conducting extensive planning for this large auction/gala. With an expectation of 20 face to face donor calls per week, the annual fundraising goal for this position is a minimum of $1.5M net. This position requires someone who enjoys relating to a wide variety of individuals, securing and growing donors, managing, motivating, training high-level volunteers, and planning and executing a large auction.

Must have at least five years of fundraising or directly related outside sales experience, plus at least two years managing exempt level staff
Demonstrated knowledge of Dallas area businesses and philanthropic communities
Skill in developing and managing budgets
Skill in developing proposals
Skill in creating and executing event timelines
Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
Ability to build relationships, multi-task, and work as part of a team
Bachelor's degree required

Starting base salary from mid to upper $60s, plus performance bonus eligibility and excellent benefits.
