Business Contribution:
The Regional Finance Leader has full responsibility for all aspects of financial reporting, controls and analysis for the HT business in the Americas region [USA, Brazil, Mexico, Trinidad], and is a key member of the regional leadership team, charged with the development and execution of the regional business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
Execution of timely and accurate US month end closing, reporting and analysis versus forecast
Preparation of quarterly, monthly and weekly forecast information working in close collaboration with the Americas leadership team
Design, implementation and monitoring of internal control processes for both finance and non-finance business processes and rapid communication and action to address areas of weakness, including balance sheet verification; SOD; Sox process documentation and execution; budgetary controls; IT system controls; and safeguarding of company assets
Assessment and planning for the development of the Americas finance organization to align with business strategy and growth and in a cost effective way
Identify/initiate/drive/police cost reduction and cash improvement projects to improve the financial performance of the region
Ownership of regional cash, treasury, legal and insurance related matters working with the corresponding Actuant corp functions.
Play a strong role in the global HT business transformation and ERP [Oracle] strategic initiative to ensure that the commercial and regulatory requirements for the Americas are understood and embraced
Partner with the Regional Business Leader and management team to challenge and contribute to operating plans and decisions, and provide financial guidance to the team.
Preparation of statutory accounts and tax returns and other statutory filing requirements for all legal entities and operations outside of the USA
Involvement with future acquisitions including due diligence and integration activities

Key Relationships:
The Americas controller will be the go to person for all financial matters in the region key network will include :
Americas business leader and Leadership team
Americas Finance organisation both HT and sister businesses
HT FD and Financial Leadership Team
Actuant corp functions including treasury, tax, internal audit, external reporting
External contacts including external auditors, bankers, insurance, tax advisors

Required Capabilities (describe scope of knowledge and ability of the position):
Qualified accountant with 10 years of relevant experience including :
o Management of a team with remote members
o Demonstrated ability to constructively challenge, influence and persuade commercial and operations management
o Demonstrated ability to add value to commercial performance
o Demonstrated responsibility financial control and reporting for a complex organisation including non-US subsidiaries
o Advanced system and analytical skills [Excel/Hyperion]. Oracle experience would be an advantage.
