Community Outreach to Women

| These organizations are participating in our exclusive Community Outreach program. Through this program, groups and organizations that directly work with Women receive open job notifications on a daily basis that match the criteria they specifically requested. These daily notifications (known as JobCasts™) can be customized by location, profession, education and experience. |
Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse is a private non-profit (501)(c)(3) organization that has been serving families trapped in the cycle of family violence since 1980. Only AVDA works to break this cycle by intervening with both the victim and the abuser. |

Alley's House Alley's House was formed in February 1997, as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation on the heels of the Welfare Reform Act of 1996. There was a need within the community to provide services to teen mothers. Our mission: empowering teen mothers and their children to achieve independence through support services, education and mentoring. We accomplish this by providing comprehensive case management services, tutoring and life skill workshops. |

Brigid's Hope Originally an outreach project of Brigid's Place but now a separate non-profit organization, Brigid's Hope provides homeless women coming out of Texas prisons and jails with transitional housing, mentoring, spiritual support, and coordination of resources at New Hope Housing's Hamilton Street Residence in downtown Houston. The project is funded by Episcopal Health Charities, the Clayton Fund, and the Powell Foundation, approved by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and administered by Twila Ross. |

Casa de Misericordia Mercy Ministries of Laredo is an outreach ministry of the Sisters of Mercy Health System serving the people of Laredo and Webb County in Texas. We provide culturally sensitive physical, spiritual and emotional care through services available through our healthcare services, domestic violence shelter, education center and nutrition program.

Downtown Women's Center Sister Mary Virginia Clark began DWC with Abba House in 1989. Her heart was for the homeless men, women, and children she saw on the streets of Amarillo. It wasn’t long before her work evolved into caring for homeless women with addictions and their children.
