Reporting to the Director of People, theSenior People Business Partnerwill be a positive, upbeat, "egg-loving" person with the ability to relate to a diverse set of people, communicate clearly and appropriately, and be approachable yet professional. This person will primarily focus on providing a high-level service to our Farm Support and Company Farm crew while supporting our mission and commitment to the stakeholder model. The People Partner will serve as a resource to crew, assisting them with matters that relate to pay, policy, benefits; and to leaders in providing guidance and coaching on how to best lead and support crew. Hallmarks of this position include strong attention to detail, organization, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and the ability to quickly build credibility with the crew and support leadership with talent management and coaching guidance.

What You'll Do:

  • As a trusted HR advisor, advocate for our crew and coach our supervisors by leveraging your understanding of our company values coupled with our policies and local laws to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Collaborate with leaders as they hire new crew by working closely with our Talent Acquisition team to ensure that roles are scoped and job descriptions built that outline roles and responsibilities clearly
  • Participate in the interview, onboarding, talent management and planning processes to ensure we have a solid pipeline of talent internally, while building community partnerships externally to help in our quest to find outstanding crew who align to our mission and values.
  • Welcome new crew by helping host orientation, being an onboarding resource for our new crew and managers hiring and leading new crew - managing I-9s, compliance and system issues, through classroom training during onboarding trips
  • Work closely with our managers and crew to support ongoing development such as performance coaching, professional development and ongoing crew development and the performance review process.
  • Engage fully with all levels of crew in your span of care - from leadership to hourly crew, assisting to drive a high performing culture that cares deeply and focuses on leveraging crew engagement and strengths to achieve results
  • Serve as the first point of contact for our crew and managers, leveraging our HRIS to run reports, help resolve crew HRIS concerns, and ensure the accuracy of employee records - partnering closely with our centers of excellence to support where needed (leave management, etc.)
  • Investigate any employee relations concerns that arise in partnership with the Director of People and our legal partners, working to provide resolution and address any root cause issues.
  • Continually look for ways to take engagement and People team practices to the next level - building processes, policies, and programs by working cross-functionally, supporting the growth for your business units in alignment with the broader People team strategies
  • Protects our crew and our company by keeping confidential information confidential.
  • Act like an owner and assist with projects as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Preferred Candidate is Located in either Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan , Tennessee, or Ohio
  • Minimum 7 years' experience, working as an HRBP in a high growth or CPG company; agri-business highly preferred but not required
  • 3 years' of your experience must be directly leading employee relations, creatively staffing and sourcing talent, engagement processes, administering and communicating policy, and owning employee and leader coaching / training in a remote or distributed workforce working with all levels within an organization
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business/related field, or equivalent direct experience in human resources, HR Certification a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with HRIS/payroll, learning and other HR systems
  • Ability to work in ambiguity, and an agile environment focused on building, growing and continuous improvement - change is the only constant
  • Must have above-average Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through with experience in managing multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to travel 35-45% (including overnight) is required for meetings, company trainings, and events
