Job Description

Our INVISTA Victoria, TX facility is seeking entrepreneurial, innovative leaders to join our team as Workflow and Planning Superintendent.


Our Team

You will have a span of control of 10-15 direct employees. This position's primary focus areas are providing leadership to the TBM organization and engaging in activities with the objective of optimizing the flow of work in TBM and improving competitiveness.


What You Will Do

Workflow Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide leadership to the Area Workflow Specialist (AWS) team
  • Owner and champion of Team-Based Maintenance (TBM) core work processes and systems
  • Leverage knowledge of Lean concepts and principles in all aspects of TBM to optimize the flow of work
  • Teach and mentor, Lean concepts/principles and the TBM work process
  • Monitor and ensure the disciplined and healthy application of the TBM work process
  • Foster a culture of experimentation and challenging the status quo with the objective of removing white space and constraints to the flow of work

Core Planning Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide leadership to the Planning team
  • Develop and maintain planning capability in all craft disciplines to allow work to flow efficiently
  • Leverage technology and innovation to create/improve work processes and tools that enable the flow of TBM work execution
  • Apply PBM mental models and option/marginal analysis when making decisions for maintenance activities and equipment/tool purchases

Stores & Material Movement Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide leadership to the Stores teams
  • Apply 5S to improve flow efficiency


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 5+ years' within maintenance or operations coordinating, leading, or facilitating work, interaction with work processes and lean manufacturing
  • 4+ years' experience of supervision
  • Experience leveraging tools and data to analyze costs, trends, and the impact of downtime on the performance and profitability of the site


What Will Put You Ahead

  • 3+ years of project controls experience i.e. planning, scheduling, and cost and experience in the application of different contracting strategies
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field
