Job Description

The Opportunity:

The purpose of the Inside Sales Associate within the Seradigm business unit of Avantor is to grow profitable sales year over year and support a successful Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS) business. The position is responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining relationships with customers and VWR associates to grow sales and drive profitability. The primary function of this position is to make outbound calls to existing and potential customers to grow Seradigm sales in North America. Activities include negotiation, sales, lead generation, and post-sale services.

What we are looking for:

  • College Degree or equivalent experience required

  • Some Sales Experience Preferred

  • Business to Business or Distribution Sales Experience Preferred

  • A self-starter that is quickly motivated, effectively implements programs, recognizes opportunities, communicates ideas, and acts with little direct supervision in a dynamic environment

  • A proactive individual, as well as a solid communicator, well organized with excellent time-management and PC skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work with integrity and intensity; strong reputation within territory among customers and colleagues

  • Demonstrated ability to listen to customer to gather fact based information on needs and requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to add value to customer's business through a consultative selling approach

  • Computer Knowledge (Microsoft Office)

How you will thrive and create an impact:

  • Sell entire Seradigm product portfolio in low to mid-size accounts in North America.

  • Present Avantor's capabilities for meeting/exceeding annual sales targets.

  • Sell differentiated product/service advantages vs. price.

  • Provide clear, collaborative direction for selling teams on Seradigm opportunities.

  • Use company supplied CRM tools and maintain sales pipeline data.

  • Confident in pulling sales reports to have detailed conversations of sales activities, account performance and performance to forecast.

  • Prospect; identify leads and drive leads through to order conversion.

  • Develop new business, maintain, nurture and grow existing customer base.

  • Close sales independently or while working in conjunction with VWR associates.

  • Develop robust forecast in support of quarterly and yearly sales targets.

  • Train and support Avantor associates and customers; educate them about Seradigm products, capabilities, and competitive advantages.

  • Promote product portfolio within territory and ensure effective communication with sales reps, sales managers, and area vice presidents regarding sales goals, trends, and performance, in support of sales growth plans.

  • Identify opportunities for product innovation, emerging markets, new approaches to reaching prospective customers.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
