Strategic Account Manager

(Business Development)

Evaluate and assess new business opportunities and market development objectives. Execute commercialization activities focused on sales process development, technology adoption and utilization, education programs, and training events.

This position requires individuals to possess a strong clinical and collaborative mindset to consistently drive and maximize customer value across the DBS franchise. This individual must exhibit strategic excellence and the ability to develop and influence key physician relationships.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Helps to manages territory resources for clinical support in device implant coverage, basic troubleshooting, programming, and patient follow-up of company products. Attends device implants in the operating room of hospital accounts and performs patient follow-up to assure customer and patient success with the implanted products.
  • Utilize existing neurology relationships to expand DBS surgical proedures.
  • Bring image guided programming to referring community.
  • Develop and execute marketing programs that contribute directly to the growth of franchise and the Boston Scientific business.
  • Develop educational programs to train new and prospective users to perform marketing strategies.
  • Conduct lead generation programs such as courses, promotional programs and tradeshow workshops.
  • Identify and execute on new revenue opportunities for the Franchise.
  • Develops relationships with hospital personnel (e.g., through casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to make new contacts in other hospital departments and identify key purchasing decision-makers to facilitate future sales.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6 plus years outstanding business development performance with a focus on Movement disorder Neurology and Functional Neurosurgery.
  • Demonstrate the ability to influence key strategic accounts, key administrative and clinical stakeholders, and drive change through health systems.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate across multiple BSN positions within the assigned geography (ie Therapy Consultant and Clinical Specialists)
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of how a health system operates and show the ability to identify and influence new/current stakeholders.
  • Commitment to divisional travel as necessary
  • Able to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Must be energetic, enthusiastic, determined and goal oriented.
  • In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
