Job Description

The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a clinical audiologist, appointed with academic rank of Faculty Associate.

Responsibilities in clinical audiology can include provision of a full range of audiological services to patients of all ages, though our greatest needs are with the pediatric population at this time. Services are to be provided at main clinical practices, university hospitals, and community practices.

Services provided at our clinics include audiological evaluation, electrophysiological testing (ABR, ASSR, ECoG, VEMP), vestibular evaluation (ENG/VNG, platform posturography, sinusoidal harmonic acceleration), otoacoustic emissions and/or universal newborn hearing screening. The audiologist may also conduct hearing aid evaluation, dispense hearing aid devices, and/or provide cochlear implant services. Current areas of growth are for pediatric services, including amplification and electrophysiology, as well as coverage at satellite locations, including Fort Worth and Frisco.

We are a large, collaborative team. We are looking for emotionally mature and positive individuals with a strong work ethic. Experience is preferred but not required. The candidate must have a doctoral degree and a license in Audiology for the State of Texas. Despite the full range of services described, our greatest needs are with the pediatric population at this time, to include amplification and electrophysiology. Those with primary pediatric skills and interest are strongly encouraged to apply.
