  • Lead process improvement efforts through the use Operational Excellence methodologies (Six Sigma & Lean).

  • Accountable for providing controls, software, and instrumentation technical support to process, equipment, facilities, and utilities.

  • Support site by providing a good knowledge and understanding of electrical control systems, principles, and procedures.

  • Manage the development and implementation of strategic efforts such as Control Systems Design Specifications, (SOO) Sequence of Operations, PID's and (RCA) Root Cause Analysis.

  • Review, update and approve Control Systems (Hardware, Software, DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI Screens), equipment standards and User Requirement Specifications (URS).

  • Program PLC, DCS and HMI applications for automated process equipment and environmental using software such as: Foxboro, Siemens, Honeywell, Rockwell RSLogix , RSLogix 500 Series, Omron, Panelbuilder 32 and RS View, Wonderware and Factory Talk ME.

  • Manage projects related to design, commissioning and performance improvement of automated equipment. Actively participate and support equipment troubleshooting and/or plant shutdown activities.

  • Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in making and proposing improvements and modifications to automated systems.

  • Provide technical support to Validation, Automation, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance with technical assessments, troubleshooting and investigation reports (IR's). Perform revisions to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), as required.

  • Learn and comply with company policies and requirements of regulatory agencies.

  • Within area of responsibility, understand and comply with all DPT safety, environmental and quality practices and procedures as outlined in organizational/departmental guidelines and SOPs as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Perform job functions in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, health authority regulations, and departmental processes.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, Industrial, Computer or Mechanical Engineering from a four-year College or University is required.

  • Minimum 10 - 15 years of related experience is required. Experience in a cGMP environment including pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
