Impact you will make

As a Product Manager for ITSM, you will be responsible for collaborating with business partners and your scrum team to transform the product vision into an approved workable roadmap through regular product backlog refinement and tactical prioritization of bugs, user stories and tasks. This role will work closely with other product managers, scrum team members and business partners to maintain and deliver new and improved ITSM offerings. The Product Manager will need to keep the big picture in mind but must remain focused on delivering value to business partners and end-users.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define, develop, shape, and refine business requirements of a new ITSM features and processes
  • Work cross functionally with business partners and scrum team to fulfill the product roadmap
  • Define, document, and refine user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria
  • Integrate internal product feedback into a cohesive user experience
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, continuously and transparently communicating the prioritized backlog and status of projects to business partners & leadership
  • Ensure completion of user acceptance testing of software features
  • Exercise common sense and good judgment with decisions, escalation of issues, and prioritization of work
  • Provide regular and accurate progress and plan updates to project leadership, business partners and end-users
  • Engage key business partners in backlog prioritization and acceptance or rejection of completed work
  • Engage business partners and end-users to gain feedback and keep them apprised of product release status
  • Collaborate with the Scrum Master & software delivery team to run successful Quarterly Planning, Release Planning and Sprint Planning sessions, as well as Refinement, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives
  • Create or collaborate on internal documentation including release notes
  • Contribute to training and educating internal stakeholders on new feature functionality
  • Participate in Agile Scrum processes and meetings
  • Participate during deployments to ensure all work commitments are delivered during the release
  • Collaborate with the entire team to accurately provide user story, bug and task estimates

What you will bring

  • 5+ years ITSM Product Management experience
  • 6+ years of experience working as Agile Scrum Teams
  • Knowledge of Ivanti or equivalent ITSM solution (Service Management (ISM), Software/Asset Management (SAM), Infrastructure & End-User Device Discovery, CMDB, Reporting)
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, refine, and translate business requirements into user stories
  • Ability to collaborate with Scrum Team and Business Partners to prioritize and manage backlog of work
  • Ability to communicate with and assist Business Partners with ITSM Product Roadmap
  • Experience in understanding and contributing toward documentation including release notes and training material
  • Confident and clear communication at both technical and nontechnical levels
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience in people, team, facilitation, conflict management, written, verbal and group communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, O365, SharePoint
  • Ability to interact with software developers, other product managers and business partners
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, parallel initiatives, and establish/meet deadlines
  • Must be detail oriented, have solid communication skills and strong risk mitigation skills

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management
